of the Northwest Public Power
Association
Northwest Public
Power Association is an organisation
of 149 publicly owned Electric
Utilities in Western United States
and Canada. Formed in 1940, NWPPA
also serves the sales and networking
needs of around 250 Associate
Members across the U.S. and Canada
who are allied with the electric
utility industry. NWPPA also serves
the interests of approximately 5
million electric customers that
their members and associated members
serve.
NWPPA strives to
assist its members through
education, training, public
information, governmental relations
and value added services and to
promote the value and benefits of
consumer-owned, locally controlled
utilities. The Board of Trustees
consists of individuals from member
utilities from Alaska, British
Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Nevada,
Oregon, Utah, Washington and
Wyoming. A

A monthly
industry magazine, ‘Bulletin’, and
an annual reference directory, the
‘Northwest Electric Utility
Directory’ are produced by the NWPPA
along with a weekly email
newsletter, ‘e-Bulletin’. Protective
Packaging Ltd have launched the One
Piece Field Liner through an advert
in ‘Bulletin’
NWPPA hosts a
number of conferences and workshops
during the year and every two years,
holds the ‘Utility Pole Conference &
Trade Show’. In October 2007, this
conference is being held in
Vancouver, Washington on October 10th
& 11th.
